Event Details

Gregory Douglass is a pianist and guitarist who blends electronic pop with folk and rock. His evocative, alternative sound blends "Rufus Wainwright ́s opulent musicality and Justin Timberlake ́s accessible soulfulness,” (OUT Magazine). A recent spotlight on NPR's Morning Edition coined him "one of New England's best-kept secrets”.

Gregory Douglas has shared the stage with artists like Regina Spektor, They Might Be Giants, Shawn Colvin, The Weepies, and Jason Mraz to name a few. According to Pandora's founder, Tim Westergren, Gregory is one of the top independent artists on Pandora radio today. He has sold 200,000+ songs digitally on his own and his videos have amounted to over a million views on his YouTube channels.

Opening for Douglass will be Truth Speaker (Voice Of The Youth), a positive, conscious youth artist and co-owner of Freeborn Music Productions, LLC. Truth Speaker is a freshman at Cazenovia College on a Presidential Scholarship for Fine Arts. While in attendance at Henninger High School in Syracuse, he earned a National Academic Achievement Award in Language Arts.

Inspiring, profanity free, thought provoking lyricist, eighteen-year-old Truth Speaker (Voice Of The Youth)’s latest self-produced project ‘Stop Da Killin’ in My City’, paints a lyrical picture from an urban youths perspective. Disgusted with the recent spike in violence, not just in his community, but globally. He is determined to give the voiceless a voice.

Professionally recording since the age of fourteen, Truth Speaker is also recognized for his efforts in bringing awareness to Children’s Rights, Women’s Rights and Human Rights issues. For the last four years, Truth Speaker has been working with the William G. Pomeroy Foundation, Marrow Nation and associated with Be The Match, with hopes of finding a match for ‘Baby King’, a five year old boy diagnosed with CD40 Ligand, a rare disease and needs a bone marrow transplant to continue to live.
